7 mos, just in case you go early, you’ll be prepared.
around 7 months is the best
Well I personally think as far as crib and changing table wise. All the big stuff. The second semester is good to have it ready. But diapers and clothes you can start buying right away, especially with diapers, because we all know you can never had enough of them. But For the big stuff i would wait untill about 6 months or so. but thats just me!
Good luck and happy pregnancy !
From experience, I’d say, much later in the pregnancy. People will start buying stuff for you, like cribs, bassinetts, clothing, strollers, etc.
If you go out and but expensive stuff, on your own, too early, all you will get from family and friends are a bunch of cute, cheap infant clothes that will be outgrown in a few months, and not the good expensive hardware that lasts.
If you are having a baby shower I would wait. I got everything I needed. I still have not bought a thing. If you are not having a baby shower I would wait until after 3 months. That is when you are most likely to lose your baby, God forbid.
2 MONTHS BEFORE BABYS BORN
The sooner the better! When you get into your later months you aren’t going to want to be setting stuff up you just want the baby to be here. You will be so uncomfortable. But no heavy lifting! I had everything ready to go by the time I was 5 months and we didn’t find out until I was 3 months pregnant. But some things you will have to wait for the baby shower. Do what you feel comfortable with. Or do one thing each month. That way you don’t over exert yourself and every month you have something to look forward to.
I started buying a few small things like bibs and booties and sweet t-shirts at around 6 months when I still had some energy to run around the shops.
We bought *big* stuff such as the cot and pram and did up the nursery at around 7-8 months.
A week before the due date!
After you are done being sick, but before you get too big. I would say the 2nd trimester is the best, because it is right in between. You don’t want to wait too long, because you never know if the baby will come early.
I waited too long, was gonna do it on maternity leave, because I didn’t plan on the baby coming early. I figured there have never been preemies in my family and I have a very healthy pregnancy, so I can wait. BIG MISTAKE, i never made it to maternity leave, baby came 5weeks early. I had no hospital bag packed, no crib, no baby furniture, no bottles, no pump, no formula, and his clothes were in bags in the closet, didn’t even have his dressor yet. ?I had so much work to do when i got home, that it was a nightmare trying to take care of the baby and get the nursery done. I would suggest 6 months, no later, cuz u never know.
I bought everything when I was 6 months, but didn’t have it completely set up until about a month before i was due. You never know if you are going to be early or not, so better safe. Plus when you get home from the hospital you are not going to have any energy to do anything other than take care of the baby.
i waited until i was about 5/6 months because then your really in baby mode. And it gives you time to look at all the different stores to see what ever store has.
the 8th month is perfect……
really when you first hear about the baby. get some stuff then save up. when the baby comes you will be totally ready for it.
Any time really, Plus if you can find things on sale, buy them. You’re going to need the money. Clothes and diapers especially. It’s also good to have extra bottles and baby food. Everything is getting so expensive now days. So if you can save money on the things you buy do it!!! Kids get more expensive as they get older. I know mine are 15 and 17yrs now.
with my last son i was just to lazy and tired and i never bought anything until i was 4 days overdue, then i was like maybe i should get some stuff now,LOL, well he was born 3 days later.
as soon as you find out what your having (unless the baby is shy & doesnt want to show you lol & in that case just wait until after your babyshower & see what you get, but tell people your themes on if a boy I want whatever if a girl I want whaterver… but thats when I did as soon as I found out I was having a girl. Shes 16 months old now… good luck to you & your little one on hte way
Anytime you feel comfortable doing it. Some people even set up the nursery before they start ttc, although that can be very dissapointing especially if you have trouble concieving. Some prefer to wait til they’ve seen a heartbeat at around 8-9wks, and some wait til after their big ultrasound, usually between 18-20wks so they can make things gender specific. Some people are afraid of getting too much too soon and prefer to wait til the age of viability which is considered to be around 28wks. I wouldn’t wait too much beyond 28wks if you do wait that long, because things can happen fast and unexpectedly and you’ll find that having the nursery together can actually be something calming when you get in one of your baby moods before baby gets there.
Seven months so you have plenty of time.
