We started on the furniture at about 10 weeks but only because my MIL wanted to help purchase some stuff. The first item of baby clothes (one outfit) I bought at about 6 weeks and then waited until about 12 weeks to start buying more. I did this because I had 2 previous miscarriages and was to frightened to buy anything else earlier but wanted to have something if that makes sence.
1st child – About 5 months
2nd child – About 8.5 months partly because we had loads from the first child.
My partner had kept saying whats the rush so I warned my friends I may have to send them out to buy baby essentials if I go into labour because we hadn’t even bought nappies for the second one.
Everyone knows my partner always puts stuff off until the last minute.
My pregnancy was very difficult but I had so much support from family and friends, it was great.
i had all the big items within the first 3-4 months.
i really want to buy baby clothes and the smaller things now but i have to wait until after the baby shower so i know what is necessary. it’s so annoying having to wait!! i just want to splurge (within reason) a little on my bubby. =]
Well i didn’t wanna Jinx anything so i waited till i had had my 20 weeks scan, i also found out the sex then too which was handy!!:D
But before then i only brought a few bottles and sterilliser and that and that was when i was about 18 weeks and thats cause they were cheap at the time!lol

I bought my baby furnitures and clothes when I was 4 months pregnant. Whenever I got my pay from my work, I bought 1-2 baby products. By the time the baby came, I already have what I need.
I bought the first thing at 12 weeks (an item of clothing). My husband and I set up the nursery around 24 weeks…which was great for me. In the third trimester I had no energy to do anything. I never really had the nesting phase either…
Clothing I look back on and shouldn’t have bought so many things. Some brands just did not fit my son (Gap is one – Gap still doesn’t fit him properly) so I wasted some money…and you’ll always want to buy clothes (at least I do…)!
I started at about 4 months pregnant, however I bought alot of newborn clothes and my son was born almost 10 pounds and didnt wear newborn very long, just make sure you buy different sizes so you arent stuck! They grow way tooo fast!! Good Luck!!
